In 2023 December, the United States and Kazakhstan will celebrate 30 years of nonproliferation cooperation under the Umbrella Agreement Concerning the Destruction of Silo Launchers of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, Emergency Response, and the Prevention of Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Across three decades, Kazakhstan has demonstrated its standing as a world leader in nonproliferation, including its efforts to secure the former Semipalatinsk Test Site in partnership with the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency. #DTRAincentcom
