A U.S. Coast Guard HC-130 Hercules air crew from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak participates in a search and rescue exercise near Herschel Island, Yukon, Canada, from Sep. 28 - Oct. 2, 2023. The exercise was a collaborative effort with the U.S. Coast Guard, Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Air Force centered around the French cruise ship Le Commandant Charcot, whose crew simulated an onboard fire with severe personal injuries and a complete evacuation of the vessel.
