Multinational troops with NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Poland conduct the Norwegian Foot March (NFM) at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Oct. 27, 2023. U.S. Army soldiers with 2nd Battalion, 69th Armored Regiment “Panther Battalion”, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, British soldiers with the 1st the Queen's Dragoon Guards “Eagle Troop,” Croatian soldiers with the 12th Croatian Contingent “Iron Boars”, and Romanian soldiers with the Romanian Air Defense “Iron Defense” all participated in the NFM. The NFM is an 18.6-mile course where soldiers must wear a 25-pound rucksack. The soldiers must complete the NFM under a time standard depending on their age and gender. The 3rd Infantry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
