U.S. Army Lt. Col. Clinton Brown, commander of 9th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, discusses Task Force Marne’s participation in exercise Verboom conducted alongside NATO allies at Camp Adazi, Latvia, on Oct. 28, 2023. The exercise consisted of engineers from the Polish and Latvian enhanced Forward Presence Battle Groups, including multinational troops from Albania, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom demonstrating various engineering tasks, capabilities, and techniques with each other. The 3rd Infantry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
