SSgt Kirby Turbak, Aerial Combat Cameraman, describes the contents and the purpose behind the Perkins Challenge, a multi-aerobic workout that the 1st Combat Camera Squadron participated in at Joint Base Charleston, SC 19 Oct 2023. The Perkins Challenge honors Cpl William Perkins, Jr., the only combat cameraman to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor, which he was awarded posthumously after jumping on a grenade in Vietnam, saving the lives of Marines around him.
