Lendlease and IHG Army Hotels are pleased to celebrate the groundbreaking for the future Candlewood Suites on Fort Liberty. The more than 122,000-square-foot hotel will be built using cross-laminated timber, which offers maximized strength and durability with added sustainability benefits.
Featuring 207 guest rooms, the hotel will include rooms ranging from studios to one- and two-bedroom suites, as well as ADA and hearing-impaired guest rooms. With the unique needs of today's military traveler top of mind.
Under the Privatization of Army Lodging program, Lendlease and IHG Army Hotels officially took over operations of Fort Liberty lodging in 2013 and the Candlewood Suites hotel will be completed in 2026. Our goal is and continues to be achieving the mission of the PAL program by providing hotels and a superior level of service that improves the quality of life of service members and their families for years to come.
The PAL program leverages private sector best practices and commercial standards to meet the on-post lodging mission through long-term partnerships.
In total, the $1.8 billion PAL program will result in the development and/or renovation of more than 12,000 hotel rooms across 40 military installations nationwide.
