Fort Sill Soldiers visited the Lawton-Fort Sill Veterans Center on Veterans Day and participated in Steps Under the Stars and Stripes. The program consisted of local civilians, businesses, organizations, Soldiers and Veterans walking the track at the center for 24 hours, passing the American flag to each new volunteer/group over the course of a day. The continuously moving flag represented the continuous work U.S. Armed Service Veterans did in service to the nation.
Key speakers included 1-14th Field Artillery Battalion Commander AJ Allen and Lawton Mayor Stan Booker, as well as other distinguished Veterans and community leaders.
