U.S. Marines conduct a ruck run, maximum set of pull-ups, and a maximum set of ruck overhead presses during Basic Jungle Skills Course at Jungle Warfare Training Center, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 12, 2023. The course provides Marines the opportunity to acclimate to moving tactically through the jungle, enables them to begin developing an understanding of time-space requirements for movements, and to engineer natural meeting engagements to facilitate jungle planning considerations. The Marines are with 3d Battalion, 5th Marines and are forward deployed under 4th Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Noah Masog)
