On this AFN Europe Report: On December 8, U.S. European Command, U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Space Force officially activated U.S. Space Forces Europe and Africa, or SPACEFOREUR-AF component command, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The component’s activation bolsters theater space capabilities and supports regional security and stability. On December 8, the European Best Medic Competition, or EMBC, concluded in Grafenwoehr, Germany. The EMBC tested the physical fitness, medical skills, and readiness of European theater medics via twelve overarching events.
