U.S. Marine Corps recruits with Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, conduct an 8-kilometer hike at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Jan. 30, 2024. The purpose of the hike is to condition recruits to the rigorous terrain on Camp Pendleton and prepare them for a 13-kilometer hike and culminating event - the Crucible.
