U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Micah D. Horney, a native of Phoenix, Arizona,
graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Training as the honor graduate of Echo
Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San
Diego, California, Feb 9, 2024. Horney was recruited by Staff Sgt. Michael
Stachowski out of Marine Recruit Sub Station Deer Valley, Arizona.
Graduation took place after the completion of the 13-week transformation
process, which included training for drill, marksmanship, basic combat
skills, and Marine Corps customs and traditions. For more information on
