U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Maurice L. Williams, command chief, Air National Guard (ANG), participates in an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) refresher training by utilizing an augmented reality system at the 163d Medical Group,163d Attack Wing, California National Guard at March Air Reserve Base, California, Feb. 4, 2024. Williams' use of augmented reality is an example of the innovative technologies being integrated into the medical career field at the 163d ATKW, enhancing training experiences and preparing personnel with advanced skills to effectively respond to emergent situations. This innovation effort, led by Master Sgt. Joshua Liko (A HAIC volunteer), is one of many projects being propelled by the 163d ATKW to reduce cost, improve workflow efficiency and increase mission output.
