Staff Sgt. Jelissa Joseph, an in-flight culinary specialist from the United States Army Priority Air Transport Command (USAPAT), located at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, shows how she has taken her culinary skills to an elite level. Staff Sgt. Joseph duty as a Cabin Attendant (92G) is to provide safety and comfort to top Military echelons, oversee the servicing of the cabin and prepare/serve gourmet in-flight meals. They receive in-flight Medical Management Training which includes a CPR certification by the American Heart Association, in order to treat in-flight illness and injury which prepares crewmembers with valuable lifesaving techniques and the ability to recognize and stabilize medical incidents. They also attend the Corporate School of Etiquette’s Culinary Arts Course training which is a hands-on course designed to provide the exemplary culinary skills for successful and unique cabin service.
