Headquarters and Headquarters “Hatchet” Company, 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment “Leader Rakkasans,” 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), supporting 3rd Infantry Division, compete in the Estonian Defence League's Long Range Distance Shooting Championship Series near Parnu, Estonia, April 6, 2024. 1st Bn., 187th IN had two snipers place in the top three of their categories - second place in the sniper magnum (800m-1000m) category and third place in the precision shooter semi-automatic category. The 3rd Infantry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.
