U.S. Air Force Col. Jeff Mrazik takes command of the 379th Expeditionary Air Base Group at an undisclosed location within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, April 19, 2024. The ceremony was the 379th EABG’s first ever change of command, since its creation earlier this year. The group formed from a merger of four different groups within the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing. This change was introduced through the new Air Force Force Generation Model (AFFORGEN), a revamped deployment system designed to provide predictability for Airmen and enhance capability for deploying units.
