    27th Special Operations Wing

    Home away from home

Airman 1st Class Emeka Chukwujiobi and his team of crew chiefs are the backbone of the 27th Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, ensuring our AC-130J Ghostriders are always ready to deliver unconventional airpower any place, any time, anywhere.✈

Chukwujiobi holds the line by balancing a range of responsibilities, coupled with his remarkable resilience and adaptability. Despite being separated from his home and family in Nigeria, he volunteered to serve in the Air Force, discovering a new community of peers who were eager to extend their support and help him grow personally and professionally.

“If I can trust you, you can trust me,” Chukwujiobi said. “And we can stand strong together.”

Emeka knows the secret behind our status as a peerless special operations asset: our strongly developed teams, and the Air Commandos that form them.
