Two AH-64 Apache helicopters with 2nd Battalion, 6th Cavalry Squadron, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, 25th Infantry Division fly towards the USS Dubuque (LPD-8), an Austin-class amphibious transport dock of the United States Navy and fired AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and Hydra 70 rocket pods as part of a long-planned, sinking exercise (SINKEX) during Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024 off the coast of Kauai July 11. Each SINKEX is conducted in strict compliance with applicable U.S. environmental laws, regulations, and permit requirements to minimize potential environmental harm. (U.S. Army video by Spc.
