Teachers, coaches, and media representatives from the Chicago, Indianapolis, St. Louis, and Oklahoma City areas participate in the week-long Educators’ Workshop at Edson Range, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., July 17, 2024. On day two, the attendees learn about weapons safety using the M16A4 service rifle before firing rounds down range. At the conclusion of the day, they navigate obstacles and develop teamwork at the Leadership Reaction Course. EWS is designed to inform high school/college educators, community leaders, and communication professionals about the commitment and benefits of service in the U.S. Marine Corps.
