A B-roll package of the 36th Airlift Squadron and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force 401st Tactical Airlift Squadron took to the skies over Yokota Air Base, Japan, Aug. 23, 2024, to commemorate the C-130’s first maiden voyage 70 years ago.
The C-130 Hercules first took flight on Aug. 23, 1954, in Burbank, California, and since that day has been providing rugged, reliable tactical airlift capability unmatched by any other aircraft in the skies. (U.S. Air Force video by Yasuo Osakabe)
