U.S. Air Force Capt. Jordan Kendall, 493rd Fighter Squadron pilot, discusses an F-35A Lightning II austere landing operation with Finnish Allies prior to takeoff at RAF Lakenheath, England, Aug. 28, 2024. The pilots successfully landed on the strip of highway less than 100 feet wide as a part of BAANA24, a Finnish Air Force road base exercise.
