U.S. Army Advisors assigned to 2nd Security Forces Assistance Brigade conduct training with the Armée Nationale Mauritanienne [Mauritanian National Army], in Nouakchott, Mauritania. Running from July 24 - Aug. 22, 2024, the training brings together Mauritanian Army soldiers, U.S. Army advisors from the 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade and U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) Civil Affairs Soldiers for the first time to conduct a military tactics course to enhance partnerships and relationships between U.S. and Mauritanian armed forces. The course, designed to enhance partnerships and relationships between U.S. and Mauritanian armed forces, included training in combat casualty care, maneuver tactics, techniques, and procedures, and large-scale combat operations planning.
