RECOVERY is a screening level model to assess the long-term impact of contaminated bottom sediments on surface waters. The model couples contaminated interaction between the water column and the bottom sediment, as well as between the contaminated and clean bottom sediments. RECOVERY is one of two models recommended by the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council (ITRC) for the modeling of caps for Sediment Remediation. The model is part of the Automated Dredging and Disposal Alternatives Modeling System (ADDAMS).
