The progression of pain from acute to chronic is complex and very often, avoidable. This video provides a bio-psychosocial overview of the "Chronification of Pain" and the opportunities for clinicians to intervene.
This video was developed by The Defense and Veterans Center for Integrative Pain Management (DVCIPM) under the auspices of the DoD/VA Joint Pain Education Program (JPEP); a project conducted by the DoD/VA Health Executive Committee (HEC) Pain Management Work Group. Content also approved by DHA Pain Management Clinical Support Service (PMCSS) in support of DHA Opioid Prescriber Safety Training (OPST).
