Dr. Alex Jahangir, MD, MMHC, recently spoke to BACH leaders about overcoming unexpected medical challenges. A prominent healthcare leader, Dr. Jahangir played a pivotal role in Nashville’s COVID-19 response as Chair of the Metropolitan Nashville Coronavirus Task Force, appointed by Mayor Cooper in March 2020.
In this capacity, he developed and implemented policies that effectively mitigated the virus's spread, expanded access to testing and assessments, and built a robust public health infrastructure. Serving as a principal source of information for the public throughout the pandemic, his efforts have been instrumental in safeguarding the community.
Dr. Jahangir is also Vice Chair and Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he holds multiple leadership roles. BACH leaders continue to crosstalk and learn from area medical network leaders. Dr. Jahangir shared his appreciation to crosstalk ideas with our healthcare leaders as he shared his experience working through challenges to offer the best care possible to the population he serves.
