Lithuanian National Defense Voluntary Forces Pvt. Dominykas Makstutis, a member of a Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Team explains what CIMIC teams do and the significance for the citizens of Lithuania during exercise Confidence 2024 in Lithuania on Dec. 10, 2024. Makstutis expressed how Confidence 2024 utilizes participation from both military and civilian departments with the goal of sharing information through interoperability. This type of collaboration helps connect local and military officials with a plan of action in case of an emergency. U.S. Troops with Task Force Pegasus participating in the exercise recognize the importance of connecting with local communities throughout Europe.
