On January 17, U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) held its annual New Year Ceremony to welcome the year 2025. Honored guests include VADM Fred Kacher, Commander, U.S. SEVENTH Fleet; RADM Gregory Newkirk, Commander, Carrier Strike Group 5 & Task Force 70; RADM Touri Sasaki, Deputy Director General, Project Management, Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Agency; Mr. Aiichiro Nakano, Yokosuka City Special Advisor to the Mayor; and guest speaker Mr. Michio Ito, Director, Yokosuka Defense Office.
For over 75-years, U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) has been the linchpin of U.S. naval operations in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region by providing intermediate-level and depot level repair for the ships of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Seventh Fleet.
