U.S. Soldiers assigned to 5th Battalion, 7 Calvary Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, observe the impact area and set up communications during HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) live fire rehearsal near Camp Tapa, Estonia, Jan. 26, 2025. The 13Fs, Forward Observers, assessed the best location to fire the HIMARS based on the visuals in the overlook tower and verbally relayed the information with the Fire Support Element on the ground and transferred information to the HIMARS operators. This live fire event consisted of the Soldiers conducting a dry fire with reconnaissance provided by the forward observers then load the HIMARS with the 3 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets, and finally, launch the rockets.
