During Exercise NEXUS FORGE 2025, Citizen Airmen from several Aeromedical Staging Squadrons in the Air Force Reserve Command teamed up with the Hawaii Army National Guard’s Detachment 1, Golf Company, 3rd Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment to refine their helicopter medical evacuation skills. Training with an HH-60 Black Hawk, these Citizen Airmen demonstrated their ability to rapidly respond to real-world medical emergencies in austere environments.
NEXUS FORGE 2025 highlights the Air Force Reserve’s commitment to Agile Combat Employment, ensuring forces can operate effectively in contested environments. Through joint and allied training, Airmen enhance their ability to establish expeditionary air bases, sustain air operations, and provide critical medical care in dynamic theaters of operation.
This exercise reinforces the readiness and adaptability of the Air Force Reserve, ensuring that medical personnel and aircrews can integrate seamlessly to provide lifesaving care anytime, anywhere. (U.S. Air Force B-Roll package by Master Sgt. Jeffrey Grossi)
