The Wyoming Air National Guard’s 153rd Airlift Wing conducted Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System training in Arizona alongside the U.S. Forest Service and interagency partners. The training prepares aircrews for real-world wildfire suppression missions by refining fire retardant drop techniques and coordination efforts. MAFFS-equipped C-130 aircraft play a critical role in supporting ground crews during wildfire season.
