This is the first in a series of conversations with the Army Reserve Medical Command's command team members about their challenges and struggles to find resiliency. In this video, Command Sgt. Maj. John R. Hilton spoke with Joseph A. Walser, the manager of AR-MEDCOM's suicide prevention programs, about his own suicide ideations and the emotional traumas that drove him to those ideations. Hilton told Walser how, in those vulnerable moments, he found the strength to survive. Also: Chief Warrant Officer 4 LaTonya Y. Pettigrew, the senior warrant officer advisor to the commanding general and a master resilience trainer, provides context in her introduction and check-on learning after the conversation.
