CHESAPEAKE, Va. (April 05, 2025) Participants ran and walked during the 14th Annual Chesapeake Bataan Death March Memorial Walk at the Great Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, April 5. The event featured up to a 16.6 mile walk and run, multiple sponsor tents and a closing ceremony. The Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) is currently undergoing repairs while dry docked in the General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) shipyard.
