U.S. Soldiers assigned to 41st Field Artillery Brigade conduct the Expert Soldier Badge weapons lane during the 41st FAB best squad competition on Camp Aachen, Bavaria, Germany, April 8, 2025. During the ESB weapon lane, Soldiers tested to demonstrate individual Soldier competencies and abilities to clear, disassemble, assemble, and perform a function checks on selected weapons including the M4 carbine, M2 Browning, M249 light machine gun, M17 pistol, and M240 machine gun. The Army Best Squad Competition tests Soldiers on their individual and collective ability to adapt to and overcome challenging scenarios that test their physical and mental endurance, technical and tactical abilities and basic warrior skills under stress and extreme fatigue.
