Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III hosts a Relinquishment of Responsibility ceremony for the 40th Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. James C. McConville and Change of Responsibility ceremony for 16th Sergeant Major of the Army Michael A. Also in attendance was Secretary of the Army Christine E. Wormuth and during the ceremony, the Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. James C. McConville, and Sergeant Major of the Army, Michael A. Grinston, relinquished responsibility to the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. Randy A. George and the 17th Sergeant Major of the Army, Michael R. Weimer.
