Sarah Brinkerhoff, also with Platoon 4038, to drop to the ground during a combat fitness test Oct. 21, 2014, on Parris Island, S.C. The test consists of an 880-yard sprint, repeatedly lifting a 30-pound ammunition can for two minutes and a shuttle run that includes a variety of combat-related tasks. Nguyen, 24, is from Orlando, Fla. Brinkerhoff, 19, from Beryl, Utah, is scheduled to graduate Nov. 7, 2014. Parris Island has been the site of Marine Corps recruit training since Nov. 1, 1915.
