The 535th Airlift Squadron loadmaster, Staff Sgt. Ryan Boehm stares outside the back of a C-17 with the ramp down before soldiers from Special Operations Command, Camp Smith, Hawaii and Marines from 4th Force Recon Company, Marine Corps Base Hawaii Kaneohe Bay perform a High Altitude Low Oxygen jump over the island of Oahu, Hawaii, Nov. 30.
Depending on their experience level, loadmasters and pilots must complete a certain amount of personnel, container delivery system and heavy equipment drops per semi-annual period. The loadmasters from the 535th AS, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam were able to maintain their personnel drop currencies for the year with this was jump because the jumpmasters needed to complete their jump qualifications as well.
