Maj. Gen. Raymond Palumbo, Commanding General for U.S. Army Alaska visits with 2nd Lt. Nick Vogt, platoon leader, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division in Richmond Virginia in April. Vogt was injured when he was attacked with an IED while on patrol in southern Kandahar, Afghanistan. Vogt lost both of his legs as a result of the attack.
