Spc. Eugene Randles and Sgt. Tim Chantharath were awarded the Eighth Army Food Service challenge coins for being hardworking and taking the initiative throughout the night of November 23, 2022 to prepare and cook Thanksgiving dinner.
Thanksgiving dinner is the most important meal that a military dining facility, or Warrior Restaurant, serves every year. Planning for the thanksgiving meal every year starts during the month of July. Dining facility managers begin ordering all food items beginning in July based on the previous year's attendance as well as figuring out the theme that their staff will dress up the facility. Our Talon Culinary Specialist were working through the night on November 23, 2022 to ensure each of our Soldiers and families could enjoy a proper Thanksgiving meal here in Korea.
