Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Christi Ward, Navy Reserve Operational Health Support Unit, Camp Pendleton, Calif., spends time with U.S. Navy veteran George Wendel and learns about his career both in the Navy aboard LCS 11 and out of the Navy working for a government contractor. Full Time Support and Navy Reserve sailors visited the Topanga Park Retirement Living facility during the Spirit of '45 celebration to spend time with the veterans and learn about the path they follow. The Spirit of '45 event was organized by VITAS Innovative Hospice Care and the Topanga Park facility to pay tribute to World War II veterans.
