Denton transfer ceremony sends hospital equipment to townships in need

U.S. Army Maj. Robert Mixon, J9 Civil Affairs director, Dr. Jose Miguel Matheu, Honduras Ministry of Health Secretariat of Health, and representatives from USAID pose for a photo with signed receipts for goods transferred following a Denton Cargo donation ceremony May 16, 2023, at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. The Denton Program was created to allow private U.S. citizens and organizations to use space available on U.S. military cargo planes to transport humanitarian goods, and in 2023 its partnership with Joint Task Force-Bravo has been able to deliver more than $1.1 million in hygiene supplies, non-perishable food, clothing, water filtration devices, hospital beds and rehabilitation equipment to communities in need.
