YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 4, 2024) – Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Maira Fajardo, from Queens, New York, and Engineman 2nd Class Matthew Castellanos, from Hemet, California, assigned to U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), drive a rigid-hull inflatable boat during a Search and Rescue (SAR) training exercise at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, April 4. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as the 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
