From the hedgerows of Normandy to the rugged Alps at Berchtesgaden; from the snow of Korea to the jungles of South Vietnam; from the deserts of Kuwait and Iraq to the jagged mountain ranges of Afghanistan; the Soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) have a “history of making history”. Each time, the 101st Airborne Division has returned home having added to its already rich and inspiring historical legacy, a birthright won by the veterans of our Division and passed on to those of us who have followed.
