    NC National Guard Responds to Tropical Storm Helene    

    North Carolina National Guard is activated with operational force packages staged in locations across central and western for post storm operations, conducting rescue and recovery operations. Governor Cooper has declared a State of Emergency. Helene impacts are widespread flash flooding, landslides, damaging debris flows, slope failures across steep terrain, and riverine flooding across portions of western and central North Carolina.
