Black Sea Rotational Force Marines and Sailors conduct basic-infantry training, advanced marksmanship, company-level command and control training, and both static and squad/platoon live fires with Romanian and Bulgarian forces. The emphasis is to build partner nation capabilities, reinforce relationships in a multilateral training environment, increase interoperability of allied/partner forces and increase the overall effectiveness to operate proficiently as NATO allies.
U.S. Marines and Sailors with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 19.1, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, participated in exercise Platinum Eagle 19.1, a multilateral training exercise, along with Romanian, Bulgarian, Moldovan, Georgian and Ukrainian service members held at Babadag Training Area, Romania, March 11-22, 2019.
