A free, one-day open house and airshow to showcase the U.S. Air Force and Team Fairchild to the Pacific Northwest.
The Smoky Mountain Air Show is set for September 10th & 11th at McGee Tyson Air National Guard Base.
The show will feature performances from the Blue Angels, the elite flight demonstrations squadron of the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army Parachute team, known as the Golden Knights, the A-10C Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team and many more.

Special Operations Forces Week is an annual conference for the international SOF community to learn, connect and honor its members. The event is jointly sponsored by U.S.Special Operations Command and Global SOF. The 2024 edition attracted over 19,000 attendees.
After 42 years of dedicated service to the South Carolina National Guard, the state of South Carolina, and nation, Major General R. Van McCarty will retire, marking the culmination of a distinguished career of leadership and unwavering commitment. A formal retirement ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the Lexington District 2 Performing Arts Center.
