Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Daniela L. Rojas-Corral is from Reno, Nevada and a member of Team Lemoore. She works at the Armed Services Whole Blood Processing Laboratory Detachment on Travis Air Force Base.
Rojas-Corral ships and receives blood products to support the entire Pacific region. She diligently ensures the blood inventory remains viable to send to distant places such as Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, Japan, South Korea and the rest of the Pacific theater.
Rojas-Corral joined the Navy in August 2020 and is now a technician who also gives mission critical training on how to properly process blood. Recently she spent a week in Germany instructing medical personnel how to receive blood products in a deployed posture.
“Joining the Navy is something I’ve always wanted to do,” said Rojas-Corral. “I wanted to join a group that has a mission and is determined to accomplish it.”
The medical field is interesting to Rojas-Corral and she knows the Navy has many programs to help her become a nurse in the future.
