Bandy, an auxiliarist with Flotilla 28-1 in the Coast Guard 9th District, Central Auxiliary Region, with the Coast Guard Auxiliary Commendation Medal, at the Auxiliary National Conference in San Diego, Calif., Aug. 24, 2013. During the Conference, Bandy was recognized as the 2012 Coast Guard Auxiliarist of the Year.
