U.S. Tech. Sgt. Gary Washington, 316th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron C-17 Globemaster III loadmaster, directs the driver of a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle onto a C-17 during an airlift mission, July 26, 2013, Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan. The C-17 is capable of rapid strategic and tactical delivery of troops and any type of cargo around the Central Command area of responsibility.
