U.S. Army Spc. Adam Lefebvre, a native of Worcester, Mass., and an assistant gunner with Battery A, 1st Battalion, 76th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, holds a 155mm howitzer round fit with a Precision Guidance Kit, Aug. 28, 2013, in Forward Operating Base Shank, Afghanistan. The PGK is a GPS-guided fuze that uses four directional fins to steer a round onto a target. The increased accuracy reduces the chance collateral damage and lowers the risk of friendly or civilian casualties. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Elvis Umanzor, 4th IBCT, 3rd Inf. Div.
