Builder Leslie A. Stangler, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5, prepares to submerge herself under water during a 3.4-mile endurance course at the U.S. Marine Corps Jungle Warfare Training Center at Camp Gonslaves. The six-day Jungle Skills Course is designed to refine a unit's patrolling and combat skills in a jungle environment with the intent to test individual endurance, build confidence, and develop small unit leaders. NMCB-5 is one of the Naval Expeditionary Combat Commands warfighting support elements providing host nation construction operations and security supporting the global war on terrorism.
