Navy Capt. Greg Rismiller, Joint Task Force Guantanamo's engineer, and Navy Cmdr. Jeff Johnston, U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay's public works officer, look over plans in the public works office here, June 24, 2008. JTF engineers and naval station public works department work hand-in-hand to ensure that construction contracts are fulfilled to promote JTF and naval station mission goals and quality of life improvements for all Gitmo residents. JTF Guantanamo conducts safe and humane care and custody of detained enemy combatants. The JTF conducts interrogation operations to collect strategic intelligence in support of the Global War on Terror and supports law enforcement and war crimes investigations. JTF Guantanamo is committed to the safety and security of American service members and civilians working inside its detention facilities.
